Track Name: On That Day
All is forgotten
The king has begotten
But he can’t even say his own name

All of the babies
They made deals with St. Hades
Their children will hang in the rain

He mumbles off course
And then drowns in the rocks
And oh what a solace so late

But on that day
They will be calling his name
They will be calling his name
They will be calling his…

All is forgotten
The king has begotten
He can’t even say his own name

All of the babies
They made deals with St. Hades
Their children will hang in the rain

The tracks have gone off
But the wheel hasn’t stopped
But it will relinquish its claim

All is forgiven
The kingdom is singing
And oh it’s so silent, but they will be calling his name

His name, his name
They will be calling his name
His name, his name
They will be calling his…

The festival horse
As a matter of course
Oh I hear they say he’s quite lame
All bets are closed
As she turns down a rose to her nose
And exclaims:

Oh what a trick
Oh no no he’s not sick
And when he crosses that gate

The jockey will lift
And he’ll be at full sprint
And ‘Oh what a sight’ they will say…they will be calling his name

His name, his name
They will be calling his name
His name, his name
Oh they will be calling his name
His name, his name
Oh they will be calling his name
His name, his name
They will be calling his…

Oh very well it seems
Oh but the jealousy
Makes you so mad and so strange

All of the women
They made eyes with Sicilians
They’re hanging their heads in shame

But I’ve had my vision
I’ve made my decision
I’m tilting my hat to the rain

And on that day
They will be calling my name

My name, my name
They will be calling my name
My name, my name
Oh they will be calling my name
My name, my name
Oh they will be calling my name
My name, my name
They will be calling my name
My name, my name
Oh they will be calling my name
My name, my name
They will be calling my name

Track Name: Detective's Hands
In the night by the fading light
Where the silence turned to golden

In the air that we found somewhere
Gave chase and then we lost it

With detective’s hands
He stares to the blackened veil of knowing
Like we’ve been had by the honest man
Let’s be honest man you know it
With detective’s hands

In the night by the fading light
Where the autumn turned to golden

In a room now full of doom
Once bright and new and lucky

There’s a man come out of the sand
Underneath his hand a weapon

With detective’s hands
He stares to the blackened jail of knowing
Like we’ve been had by the honest man
Let’s be honest man you sold him out
With detective’s hands

In the grass where the shadows pass
And the eons last a moment

We recall all the things we lost
But at what cost to know it

Like the dew that the rains left there
Back into the air it’s going

In the night by the fading light
By the fading lights a-golden

With detective’s hands
He stares to the blackened veil of knowing
Like we’ve been had by the honest man
Let’s be honest man you know it

With detective’s hands
He stares to the blackened veil of knowing
Like we’ve been had by the honest man
What the honest man is holding out…
Track Name: The Ghost of You
The ghost of you somehow
The ghost of you somehow
The ghost of you somehow is here

The ghost of you somehow
The ghost of you somehow
The ghost of you somehow is here

I don’t mind sitting on the ground
So I lay my riffle down
I don’t mind sitting on the ground
I don’t mind sitting on the ground

But the ghost of you somehow
The ghost of you somehow
The ghost of you somehow is here
Somehow is here
Somehow is here

I might be leaving for the coast
When the time comes just so you know
I don’t mind going on my own
I don’t mind going on my own

But the ghost of you somehow
The ghost of you somehow
The ghost of you somehow is here
Somehow is here
Somehow is here
Track Name: Bleeding the Walls
What once was the desert is now a mountain range
What once was our love is now just a dusty plain
What once was our skiff is drinking the azure in
What once was our youth is now just reptile skin

What doesn’t come up in the fall
I’m bleeding the walls

What once was the heavens is now just a pittering rain
What once was your belt is a lock on a busted chain
What once was the sun is now just a fiery sphere
What once your car is now just rusty steel

What doesn’t come up in the fall
I’m bleeding the walls
What doesn’t come up in the fall
I’m bleeding the walls

And we’ve been sitting around so long that we might disappear
We’ve been sitting around so long that we might gone from here

What once was our love is now but a shadowy wraith
What once was a star is now but a broken face
What once the taproot is all but drying out
What once was conviction is now just shrouded in doubt
What once was perfection has become a terrible bore
What once I could see with my eyes I ain’t seeing no more
What gold once I held in my hand it fell through the floor
What once felt so new feels like it has happened before
What once was our skiff is drinking the azure in
What once was our youth is now just reptile skin
What once was our chance is hopping the midnight train
What once was your hair is now just a dirty mane
The ones who were guilty now they’re final making their case
What once was our home is now just a view from space

And we’ve been sitting around so long that we might disappear
We’ve been sitting around so long that we might gone from here

What doesn’t come up in the fall
I’m bleeding the walls
I’m bleeding the walls
I’m bleeding the walls
The walls
The walls
The walls
The walls
The walls
Track Name: Black Moon
When the road is flat
And the moon’s gone black
And the tape recorder static

I’ll be coming home
Coming home
Coming home

The road to ruin on the right
It takes your appetite
And tilts you on by

So why must we strike gold today
Would our souls decay?
That would happen anyway

On the edge again and again
Again and again
It ends this way

The road to ruin on the right it plays a part
And rue and rouge makes the red trees redder than the fall leaves

And I’ll be coming home
I’ll be coming home
I’ll be coming home

Slow down you go to fast
Expectations they don’t last
When you move that fast

And time in throws by and by
If I don’t know what’s on the other side
We’ll just have to find out

So I won’t spend my time worrying
About what will happen when I’m dead
And live my life instead

No I wont spend my time worrying
About what will be when I’m dead
And lift you up instead

In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver…

The road to ruin on the right sends you back like gold and silver
And rue and rouge makes the red trees redder than the fall leaves
The roof’s in ruins on that sad day I don’t know
And rue and rue and rue sends you back like gold and silvery stars
It sends you back to your home

And when the road is flat
And the tape recorder static
And I’ve had it

I’ll be coming home
Coming home
Coming home

In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs
In gold and silver chairs

And won’t you send me
Two rose plain
Two roses to my grave
Track Name: Like a Snow Hill in the Air
(instrumental)
Track Name: Throw Your Bones
Throw your bones into sea
You’ll be always holding me

Throw your map up to the stars
You’ll be coming after all

I’ve been down my friend
I’ll be down again
For now I tell myself keep gently breathing in

Throw your bones into sea
My skin is all that’s holding me

I’ve been down my friend
I’ll be down again
For now I tell myself keep gently breathing in
Keep breathing in
Keep breathing in

I’ve been down my friend
I will drown again
For now I tell myself keep gently breathing in
Keep breathing in
Keep breathing in
Keep breathing in
Keep breathing in
Keep breathing in

Throw your bones into the sea
You’ll be always holding me
Track Name: Chrysanthemum Blues
I walked out of the canyon and stepped into the light
I walked out of the canyon when the sun hit my eye
La-ooo-ay

Just about a year ago I sold all my clothes
I bought a pair of sandals from my uncle on loan
And walked out on my own

Now I see the poetry in everything I see
The dew on the vine, the Chrysanthemum tea
It’s like that hair I shaved had been blinding me
La-ooo-wee

If this life is just a portal, well I guess that’s just as well
I shed my armor like a cicada shell
And move off into the colored hills

I don’t say this enough
Whatever powers reign above
I don’t say this enough
I think it could be
It could be enough

I walked out of the canyon and stepped into the light
I walked out of the canyon when the sun hit my eye
La-ooo-ay

There I was blinded momentarily
I stumbled to and fro into a ravine
I guess that that’s the price I pay for living free
La-ooo-wee

Now I’m headed on my way to another side
Another shore, a moon, a beach on which for me to hit my stride
But I’m wearing sunglasses this time
La-ooo-ay
La-ooo-ay
La-ooo-ay
Track Name: Connie
Autumn’s got the best of me but I’ve been thinking still
I talk a lot of memory sitting on your sill

Autumn said my faith would leave me in the night
I bet a lot on memory but my memory wasn’t right

Connie she’s been quiet now for so long it’s dark
I wondering is she dreaming, is she dead or is she gone

She wakes to sing Italian songs off into the hall
I wonder how I’ll pay my rent or how I’ll sing along

The fortress has lit up with the crosses that we bare
And we might go along with them or we might revolt still

From the thin mélange of memory, the lies we’ve taken to
Believe whatever you want to, believe them as I do

Autumn’s got the best of me, but she will linger yet
I bet it all on memory, but my memory will forget

So I painted you a picture from the moment in my mind
And I can’t recall just how it felt and the colors fade with time

The blacks become a green and the reds become a sea
Of grey vermillion ships, familiar ships a-sinking deep

And Connie she’s been quiet now for too long it seems
From the way that Georgia treated her she’s bruising like a peach

Her mind is made of plastic, melting as the sun
She slips and calls Philip “Joy” as she does everyone

Autumn’s got the best of me but I’ve been thinking still
I sing a lot of memory, but my memories are still
Track Name: Forever Wind
Forever Wind
The time’s been slowly sinking in
We’ve be slowly sinking
Oh well, I guess

And even now
It’s hard to say but even now
We’ve been clear but even now
Oh well, I guess

I don’t give a damn what they say
I don’t care today
I don’t give a damn what they say to me
You’ll always be

Forever Wind
The time’s been slowly sinking in
Though we’ve been clear with Forever Wind
Oh well, I guess

The leader sits
Statued, kind and benevolent
With arms a-crossed we’ll forever sit
Onto that mighty stone

I don’t give a damn what they say
I don’t care today
I don’t give a damn what they say to me
You’ll always be

A photograph
Cast in acid, a photograph
But cast in black so it forever lasts
Oh well, I guess

Away we fly
Off into the spectral lights
Often with our wings on fire
Oh well, I guess

The Juggernaut
Once guarded hard now they’re selling off
Their secrets to the astronauts
Oh well, I guess

I don’t give a damn what they say
I don’t care today
I don’t give a damn what they say
To me

I don’t give a damn what they say
I won’t be safe
I don’t give a damn what they say to me
You’ll always be

Forever Wind
The time’s been slowing sinking in
We’ve been slowly sinking
I guess I might go
On down that road
